About Us

College of Engineering Attingal, established by Institute of Human Resources Development( IHRD ), an autonomous educational institution a Government of Kerala undertaking, is a premier technical institute having a well-flourished environment for molding professionals. IHRD is dedicated to the scientific advancement, technological progress and economic growth of the country through human resource development. IHRD is a major academic hub having more than 92 institutions including 9 Engineering colleges. College of Engineering Attingal started functioning in the academic year 2004-2005 with two-degree courses offered in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering and later Electrical and Electronics Engineering was approved. The Institution has the approval of All India Council for Technical Education and is an affiliated institution under APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University (KTU). The college has not applied for accreditation by NBA. There are three undergraduate programmes: Electronics & Communication(EC), Computer Science(CS) and Electrical & Electronics(EEE). All the programmes are affiliated to APJ ABdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and approved by AICTE. College of Engineering Attingal is located at the heart of Attingal and is the only college located on the sides of NH66 between Kollam and Thiruvanathapuram. The college has access to various modes of transport, communication, and many lodging facilities. It is about 23 km from Kollam and 36 km from Trivandrum. The nearest railway station is Chirayinkeezhu which is 7 km from Attingal. The college campus enriched with the lush green environment has all major facilities. Faculties have adequate teaching and industrial experience. The college has enough infrastructure like spacious and ventilated smart classrooms, equipped labs and workshops, computing center with campus WiFi, seminar halls, and adequate sports facility.
