Placement

Recognizing the complexity of the career-planning process and the myriad of options available to students, the Department of Training and Placement conducts programs that offer various services to meet the professional development needs of students. The department partners with students in the process of career management. This starts with self-assessment and leads to identifying a career that meets individual goals. The Department generates awareness about industry and career trends among the students by organizing company visits, informal and formal discussions, workshops and guest lectures. Senior Executives and alumni from a variety of business share practical advice and insights gained from their own background and experience. This helps students to make well considered choices.

At the end of the day, what counts is the student’s potential to be placed in the finest organizations as a first step towards a longer career development. The Placement Cell conducts support programmes that enhance their chances for a smooth transition from a student to an executive. The Placement Cell holds workshops for the final year students to zero in on their skills and aptitudes, strengths and weaknesses, fine tune presentation techniques and network with the Florence Degree College and the industry leaders to provide them with the opportunity to find a credible place in corporate.

The Placement Cell has Placement Coordinator and the governed by Director and the Cell has student representatives from all classes, from among whom a Student Coordinator is elected. The Student Coordinator interacts with the Placement Coordinator for the daily functioning of the Cell.

Admission Guidelines

Admission Eligibility for UG Program

PUC or 10+2 from a recognized board.

Documents required for Admissions

• SSLC or 10th Standard or its equivalent marks card (Original)
• PUC or 10+2 marks card (Original)
• Caste certificate (Original)
• Income certificate (Original)
• Transfer Certificate (Original)
• Migration certificate for the students coming from outside Karnataka and CBSE/ICSE Students (Original)
• Physical fitness certificate from any Regd. Medical Practitioner (Original)
• 6 Passport size and 2 stamp size colour photographs.
• Parents passport size photos 2 each.

Students admitted in our Institution should have at least five sets of photo copies of all the documents mentioned above along with 10 passport and 10 stamp size colour photographs. (Three sets of photo copies need to be produced at the time of admission) The students other than PU Board, Bangalore and Karnataka CBSE should apply eligibility certificate from this college.

The students belonging to SC/ST and other categories should submit photo copies of caste certificate, income certificate while applying for students scholarships.
