Govt. College of Nursing, Thrissur is a prime institution of Nursing Education in Kerala, established in the year 2006 with the twin objective of excellence in nursing education and manpower development. The college is offering basic and higher educational programmes. It is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council and is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences. BSc Nursing Programme was started in the year 2006 with an annual intake of 60 Students. The Post Graduate Nursing programme was started in the year 2010 with an annual intake of 10 students (2 in each specialty) and seats were enhanced to 20 (4 in each Specialty) in the year 2013. With an excellent team force, the institution strives to render quality education to the students with a vision to be a Centre of Excellence in the near future
