About Us

Panakkad Pookoya Thangal Memorial Arts & Science College, Cherur (PPTM College) was started in 2013-14 academic year. It is run by PPTM Yatheem Khana Committee. The Committee aimed at providing the quality and moral education under conducive cultural environment. It would be helpful to uplift the backward sections of the people of this area, who were traditionally kept aloof from the educational field. The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut and recognized by the Government of Kerala under self-financing stream. The college offers instructions in five UG programmes under Calicut University Choice Based Credit Semester System (CUCBCSS). The college is situated at the historically important place, Cherur. The area provides a congenial atmosphere for the pursuit of knowledge. It situates 3 kms away from Vengara town, 15 kms from the District Headquarter, Malappuram and Parappanangadi Railway Station; and 16 kms from the Calicut International Airport and Calicut university.
